West Bengal Staff Selection Commission (WBSSC) has released a notification for the recruitment of Assistant Teachers for Class 9–10 and Class 11–12. A total of 35,726 posts are available. The application process started on 16 June 2025 and has been extended until 21 July 2025. The age limit is 21 to 40 years as on 01 January 2025. Interested candidates should ensure eligibility before applying.

Eligibility Criteria
Class 9–10 Assistant Teacher
Candidates must have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with at least 50% marks and must have passed the B.Ed. exam or completed an integrated BA.Ed. / B.Sc.Ed. course.
Class 11–12 Assistant Teacher
Candidates must have a Master’s degree with at least 50% marks and a B.Ed. degree, or a Master’s degree with 50% marks along with an integrated BA B.Ed. / B.Sc B.Ed. qualification.
